BLOOMINGDALE’S & MENTORING USA CELEBRATE 10TH ANNIVERSARY

Store to Unveil 7th Annual Window Collaboration with PS 59

to “Unlock the Door to Success”

New York, NY— Bloomingdale’s chairman and CEO, Michael Gould and Mentoring USA Founder & Chair, Matilda Raffa Cuomo will unveil a special window designed in collaboration with the students of New York’s PS 59 on Friday, January 11 at 9:00am on Lexington Avenue at 60th Street in honor of National Mentoring Month. The unveiling will be followed by a “thank you” breakfast for the children in the newly relocated “Forty Carrots” Café on the seventh floor.

Mentoring USA, which provides high quality mentoring relationships to New York City’s most vulnerable youth, strives to anchor children in the form of early, frequent, consistent and well-supported attention by trained adult mentors. A program of HELP USA, Mentoring USA operated mentoring programs in the New York metro area, and has provided mentors to thousands of children between the ages of 5 – 18 every year.

It was founded in 1872 and currently operates 40 stores in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois, Minnesota, Georgia, Florida, Nevada and California.
